8:00am: Those travelling from the Sunshine Coast – Bus leaves 3 Porters Lane, Nambour – 8:00am sharp!!
9:30 – 10:30am: Meet at Woorim Surf Club Car Park; Enjoy a walk and observe the success of the Woorim Foreshore Dune Rehabilitation Project with hosts: BIEPA, Barung Landcare, Moreton Bay Regional Council and Healthy Land and Water. This Project is supported by Healthy Land and Water through funding from the Australian Government’s National Landcare Program.
10:30am – 11:00am: Morning Tea.
11:20am – 1:30pm: Meet at 41 Harbour Promenade, Banksia Beach for your Magnificent Ferryman Cruise and Lunch on the Ramsar-listed Pumicestone Passage in all its Stunning Winter Glory. You will learn from Traditional Owners, an Archaeologist, a Fire Ecologist, a Botanist, Shorebird Experts and hear about the Pumicestone Shellfish Habitat Restoration Project, Midden Mapping, Cultural Landscape Management & more.
2:00pm: Travel to Ningi Transfer Station to see the OzFish shell recycling station.
3:00pm: Bus arrives in Nambour
