Nature-based tourism offers significant economic opportunities while ensuring high-value conservation for the future.

The Bribie Island Nature-Based Tourism Vision Forum, held on 10 April 2022 in the auditorium of the Bribie RSL, welcomed some 140 attendees over the course of the morning.

After addresses by Ali King MP for Pumicestone, Brooke Savige MBRC Councillor for Division 1, Jodie Shipway Deputy Mayor MBRC, the Nature-Based Tourism Project Team and many other inspiring Speakers, the attendees had a break-out session.

They were asked to come up with ideas for the future of Tourism on Bribie Island, showcasing and respecting the Island’s unique and fragile environment.

Enthusiastic discussions around the tables resulted in many suggestions which are now being collated by the Project Team to inform plans going forward.
