January Meeting Cancelled

The BIEPA Management Committee has met and discussed the present situation with COVID-19 Omicron variant.

The BIEPA General Meeting originally scheduled for Monday January 24, will be cancelled.

As you may be aware, the Bribie Island population has not been exempted from the touch of this pandemic since Queensland’s borders were opened for the Festive Season.

Even though we know our members, friends and affiliates are being ever vigilant, the Management Committee made the decision today to cancel our first meeting for 2022 to reflect BIEPA’s proactive part in preventing the spread of the virus.

However, the Committee also discussed the future of holding BIEPA meetings in a confined space, such as the ANZAC Room or the Garden Room at the RSL.

The Bribie RSL has been extremely generous with our not-for-profit status and has always waived fees. .

The BIEPA Management Committee is in discussion on how best to hold meetings while protecting our membership and attendees.

We will be surveying you with suggestions and asking for your ideas.

In the meantime, you will be receiving regular updates on BIEPA projects and activities as well as postings on the BIEPA website and Facebook pages.

Many thanks for your support and patience.

Best wishes.

From your BIEPA Management Committee.
