Monday 24/04/17, 7pm, ANZAC Room, Bribie Island RSL
Our Guest Speaker is Warwick Wilmott, Geologist and Author
After a long and distinguished career with the Geological Survey of Queensland, Warwick decided to take up some other passions in “retirement”. Warwick has long been an avid bushwalker and has long held the view that the geology profession should better demonstrate its usefulness to the community. Warwick has combined these interests by publishing over seven books on the geology of parts of South East Queensland. Warwick will discuss
the geological history of Moreton Bay and the impact this leaves on Bribie Island today.
